Where Does Your Turf Come From?

Our synthetic grass is proudly made in the United States. Southwest Greens, part of Shaw Industries, a Berkshire Hathaway company, and all fibers are made and processed in American Shaw plants. The advanced production lines use automation, Lean/Six Sigma quality controls, and in-house labs to exceed industry-leading standards. When you plan an artificial turf installation with Southwest Greens, you can trust that you’re installing durable U.S.-made artificial turf.

American Manufacturing: We use Shaw’s U.S. plants (ours is in Dalton, GA) for turf production. Ongoing upgrades in Shaw’s factories maintain fiber precision and quality.

Vertical Quality Control: As part of Shaw, Southwest Greens manages every step of the supply chain. That allows us to provide uniform fiber construction and appearance across production runs, rapid support for warranty concerns, and clear manufacturing traceability to resolve problems quickly.

Rigorously Tested: Before any turf is delivered, it’s put through rigorous in-house and field tests. We test in a 13,000 sq. ft. indoor facility and 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor test sites to mimic extended real-world conditions. The turf is checked for fade resistance, strength, and play response, so your yard or putting green stays vibrant and realistic for years.

CUTTING-EDGE INNOVATION

We constantly improve our turf to be better-performing and long-lasting. Some of our latest developments include:

Bolt™ Fiber (High-Performance: This proprietary Bolt fiber features a patented lightning-bolt shape. It retains its shape longer than standard turf, surpassing conventional wear tests by 2x. Its special cross-section diffuses light to minimize glare, giving the yard a true-grass sheen.

HydroChill® Cooling: We offer cooling infill that reduces turf temperatures by 30–50°F. This innovative moisture-activated process is perfect for warm-weather lawns and putting greens, keeping feet and paws comfortable even in summer’s heat.

Pet-Friendly Drainage: Our pet turf products are engineered to drain waste quickly and resist staining. Your dog won’t dig up holes or drag mud into the house anymore. And the way our artificial grass naturally sheds pet waste makes dead spots and odors a thing of the past.

Creaturf™ Personalization: Want your turf to show off your identity? Our Creaturf™ program lets you add graphics, emblems, or colored elements. From custom logos on backyard putting greens to distinctive pet turf, this capability lets you design without limits.

PERSONALIZED TO YOU

We consult with designers, golf pros, and customers to ensure our artificial turf serve real-world use cases. Feedback from golfers prompted a new “spring green” color option for tee turf that blends seamlessly with fairways. Little details like this make us trusted by Greenwich professionals, residents, and designers.

We also create specialized systems tailored to any environment — backyard putting greens, golf courses, pet areas, playgrounds, commercial lawns, game courts.

We take fake grass installation seriously. Done right, it’s a fine art. Our synthetic turf is built to mimic PGA-standard roll and bounce. That’s why legendary golfers like Jack Nicklaus and Annika Sörenstam trust Southwest Greens. And because our connection to Shaw gives us unmatched flexibility, we can customize every layer of your turf.

LOOKING AHEAD: 2026 AND BEYOND

We never stop innovating at Southwest Greens. Expect groundbreaking updates in 2026! Shaw Sports Turf division confirmed that fans will help to decide new field designs and that a new “Game ON” turf model (made in Calhoun, GA) will hit the market in 2026.

This playful spirit and technology will be available in landscaping products soon. We can’t spill all the details yet, but know for certain, our R&D team is working hard on the next generation of artificial grass.

Future turf will combine science with customer-driven input, so your next Southwest Greens lawn or putting green will be better than ever.
